Hi! My name is Madison Grosvenor and I am from Leland Michigan, but I currently reside in Ann Arbor. I am a graduating senior at University of Michigan's Penny W. Stamps School of Art and Design where my focus has been in animation and multimedia art practices. This will be my second year at the Ann Arbor Film Festival, and I am absolutely ecstatic to spend another year watching amazing films and hanging out with amazing people!
What was your most memorable experience from last year’s Festival?
One of my most memorable experiences was both the opening and closing night when everybody was wearing the amazing hats made by Pat Oleszko. It was also a very memorable experience being able to watch my own animated trailer that I made for the festival, play on the big screen prior to some of the films!
What was your favorite film last year?
Picking a favorite film is so hard! I love all of the animations and last year a favorite of mine was Lynn Tomlinson's animated music video, Ten Degrees of Strange. Also a very honorable mention to Tank Fairy!
For a Filmmaker visiting Ann Arbor for the first time, what would be the top three things you would put on their "A2 To-Do" List?
1. A stroll through the Arb (University of Michigan Nichols Arboretum)
2. A visit to UMMA (University of Michigan Museum of Art)
3. A yummy dinner and drink at Frita Batidos
