VOLUNTEER

The 50th Ann Arbor Film Festival is around the corner and we're always looking for local volunteers to help during the months of January, February and March!  Volunteers can expect to help with any of the following positions:

  • Flyering around Ann Arbor and surrounding citiies
  • Usheering at the Michigan Theater during the week of the festival
  • Setup/breakdown of the featival
  • Attending to the Green Room, Filmmaker Lounge, Bar, Will Call and Information Table
  • Assisting the transportation of filmmakers (if applicable)

INTERNSHIPS

All fall/winter internship postitions have been filled.  Please check back in April 2012 for more information on summer internships.

The Ann Arbor Film Festival offers exciting fall/winter internships!  We are looking for energetic, focused, organized individuals who are excited to be a part of our unique community and help drive our creative efforts.  We are seeking motivated and dependable interns who will commit 12-15 hours a week.  During the first half (fall) of the internship, interns are expected to participate in standard office tasks including: database entry, trips to the post office and bank, etc.  For the second half (winter), interns are expected to continue their office tasks, but will also be assigned more specific roles to ensure a successful 50th Festival!  These roles include (but are not limited to):

  • Community Outreach & Development
  • Marketing & Publicity
  • Traveling Tour Assistant

If you have knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and/or Final Cut or other editing software please be sure to let us know!

The fall/winter internship runs from October 3, 2011 to April 13, 2012

An AAFF internship provides excellent real-world experience in the fast-paced (at times) film festival industry. It is a great resume builder and we provide recommendations for our interns. Our office environment is hard-working, but fun and laid back, often with music and/or movies in the room.
