Tomonari Nishikawa

Born in Nagoya, Japan. Nishikawa started filmmaking in the US, and his works has been screened at film festivals worldwide since 2003, including Berlinale, Edinburgh International Film Festival, International Film Festival Rotterdam, Media City Experimental Film and Video Festival, New York Film Festival, and Toronto International Film Festival. His film, Market Street, which was commissioned by Exploratorium, received Film Award (1st prize) at EXiS: Experimental Film and Video Festival in Seoul, South Korea. In 2010, he showed a series of 8mm and 16mm films at MoMA P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center, as part of the 2010 Greater New York Exhibition.
