Michael Robinson

Michael Robinson (b.1981) is a film, video and collage artist whose work explores the joys and dangers of mediated experience, riding the fine lines between humor and terror, nostalgia and contempt.  His work has shown internationally at venues including The 2012 Whitney Biennial, REDCAT Los Angeles, IFF Rotterdam, NYFF, The BFI London Film Festival, and The Walker Art Center.  In 2012 he was featured in Cinema Scope magazine’s “50 Best Filmmakers Under 50”, and listed among the top ten avant-garde filmmakers of the 2000's by Film Comment.  Michael served on the awards jury of the 50th Ann Arbor Film Festival.
