Kelly Sears's collage animation media practice draws from genres such as experimental film, essay films, and recycled cinema. She uses appropriated imagery from Post WW2 America, reworking cast off magazines, books and orphaned films to investigate contemporary political narratives of power that include manifest destiny, expansionist doctrines, occupation, and surveillance.
