Christoph Girardet

Christoph Girardet, born in Langenhagen, Germany, in 1966, and Matthias Müller, born in Bielefeld, Germany, in 1961, have been collaborating since  Phoenix Tapes, a contribution to the group show Notorious – Alfred Hitchcock and Contemporary Art at the Oxford Museum of Modern Art in 1999. The artists' work has been screened at the film festivals of Cannes, Venice, Berlin, Rotterdam, Toronto, New York, Oberhausen, Vila do Conde, and many others. Moreover, it has been exhibited at major art institutions worldwide, such as the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, Palais de Tokyo, Paris, Tate Modern, London, and EYE Institute, Amsterdam.
