Ana Vaz

Born in Brasília, Brazil in 1986, Ana Vaz is a filmmaker currently based between France and Brazil. She was awarded a First Class BA Honours in Cinema Studies in 2009 at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, where she produced her first film, “Sacris Pulso”, screened at a number of international film festivals including the 56th Melbourne International Film Festival. Between 2010 and 2011, Ana Vaz was invited to teach at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Philosophy, Literature and Media whilst in residency at the Melbourne Immigration Museum. Beginning in 2011, she started a two-year residency at Le Fresnoy, Studio National des Arts Contemporains, where she produced her last film, “Entre Temps”, premiering at the Festival Premiers Plans d’Angers, France.
