Split Ends, I Feel Wonderful

A woman attaches hair piece. Black women at hair salons get their hair plaited; and a woman models on a yellow turban. Eccentric hairstyles show the roots of Afro hair and activist, Angela Davis becomes involved. Re-positioning 1970s era found footage and using African American hairstyles as subject matter, Split Ends, I Feel Wonderful examines image and iconography of Black hair styles in New York, New York.
