Jeremy Liesen, Ann Arbor, MI

Short Film

“Listen” is a video project produced, directed, shot and edited  by Jeremy Liesen, a student from Washtenaw Community College.
You have heard the saying “stop and smell the roses”. This project can be thought as “stop and listen” to the sounds of an ordinary day. The audio of “Listen” is a combination of natural sounds such as wind chimes, car doors , keys turning into a keyhole. These sounds blend in combination with a track from a local record store creating a delightful array of music.
The footage is filmed one day, Oct 16, 2010 in Ann Arbor MI. from sunset to sun down. The video begins with the morning sunset and footage includes ordinary people and the daily routines of city life with average natural sounds of an ordinary day. Jeremy edited the daily sounds with a rhythmic flow of footage. This piece offers a different perspective of a day in the beautiful city of Ann Arbor. Stop and LISTEN.
